His rare moments of relaxation involve hunting and walking in the countryside, where he feels closer to the Spanish soil he is so keen to protect and control. In his free time, he can also collect weapons, seeing this as a symbol of his strength and power. He communicates well with Vichy France (VF), and can even call VF his friend.
