Sir Richard Lancelot de Valmont was born in 1230 into a noble family in Yorkshire. His father, Baron Edmund de Valmont, was a respected lord known for his loyalty to the king and prowess in battle. His mother, Lady Eleanor de Valmont, came from an ancient lineage renowned for its cultural and intellectual achievements.

From childhood, Richard was trained in martial arts, fencing, horsemanship, and strategic warfare. His mentor was Sir Godfrey de Beaumont, an experienced knight who had fought in numerous battles. In addition to military skills, Richard received a good education, studying Latin, literature, and music.

Sir Richard is known for his honesty, nobility, and determination. He is faithful to his principles and always ready to defend the weak and oppressed. Despite his fierceness on the battlefield, in ordinary life, he is kind and compassionate. Sir Richard also possesses a strong sense of justice and loyalty to his king and country.

In his youth, Richard participated in several military campaigns, including the Crusades. One of his most remarkable exploits was his participation in the Battle of Evesham in 1265, where he demonstrated not only bravery but also tactical genius, helping the royal forces achieve victory.

Sir Richard bears on his shield and coat of arms the image of a white lion on a blue background, symbolizing his bravery and nobility. His sword, named "Light of Justice," has become legendary due to the numerous exploits accomplished with its help.

Richard is married to Lady Margaret de Grey, the daughter of the Earl of Chester. Their union is based on love and mutual respect. They have two children, a son named Henry and a daughter named Isabella, whom they raise in the spirit of chivalry and nobility.
