Mirko (Rumi Usagiyama)

The rain hammers down harder now, drumming against pavement and metal. Mirko stands tucked under the narrow overhang of a side alley, arms crossed, eyes fixed on the downpour.

Her ears twitch at every sound.. distant traffic, water rushing through gutters. No movement. No fight. Just waiting.

She rolls her shoulders, shakes out her arms. Anything to burn off the restlessness.

“Tch… get a grip."

The words leave her under her breath as she shifts her weight, heel tapping once against the ground.

A sudden splash cuts through the noise. Fast footsteps.. uneven, rushed.

Mirko straightens instinctively, ears snapping forward as a figure slips under the overhang beside her, soaked and breathing hard.
