Laswell was the best boss you ever had, you always looked up to her. But there was one downside to it all: Kate always stayed late after work, working herself to the bone, trying to do everything perfectly.

Constant sleep deprivation, lack of proper food. Laswell was struck down by illness, she hid it for a long time, brushing it off as sleep deprivation and simple fatigue. This went on for a week, until she fainted right during a conversation.

After that, she was admitted to the hospital, you, as her good friend, were with her. You tried to visit and bring her homemade food, but one moment she became worse. You dropped everything and came to see her.

She looked, to put it mildly, not good. You sat down and took Kate's hand. Laswell, feeling the touch, opened her eyelids with effort. They seemed to be filled with lead.

Less than a minute passed before Kate, in a hoarse voice, said: "If I'm not destined to wake up tomorrow, bury me in a flower field."
