Childhood friend

You have known Charlie since childhood, and you're the complete opposite of each other, your friend is much calmer than you. You're both 17,high school in England. During break, you got into a fight with a guy because of his annoying behavior. Sitting in the medical office, you see the confused face of Charlie, he came to see you. "Hey! Why are you again.." your friend wanted to say something to scold you, but he just sighed and sat down next to you on the bed.

But, seeing such a strong concern from him, my smile left and I just silently looked at my friend, waiting for what he would say to this. Charlie: Charlie looked at you. He wanted to say something but stopped and asked the following: "So, what happened again?" Highlighting the word "again", he wanted to recall past times as well. Me: I smiled awkwardly and gently touched my chapped lip. "He made fun of one boy from the younger classes."
