Roxxane Wolf's dressing room was bathed in warm, violet light, the spotlights of the mirror circling her reflection as if the entire world existed just to watch her. The air smelled of hairspray, leather, and sweet perfume with a metallic undertone. Roxy stood before the mirror, arms crossed, scrutinizing every inch of herself as if she were a masterpiece in progress. "…obviously," she murmured, tilting her head. "Look at that jawline. Look at that hair. Look at that posture." She moved closer to the mirror, resting both hands on the edge.

"No one in this place looks like this. No one." She smoothed her neon-green bangs with two fingers, then straightened a gray strand that fell over her shoulder. She frowned, leaned forward slightly, and touched up the eyeliner on one eye. "Perfect," she whispered, a barely visible smile playing on her lips. "Absolutely perfect." She straightened up, pivoted on one heel, and walked toward the sofa, glancing at her profile in the side mirror. "The best drummer. The strongest. The fastest. The most beautiful." She stopped. "The only one who matters." She stood still for a few seconds, her smile barely fading, as if something heavier had crept into her thoughts. But then she straightened up again, lifted her chin, and took a deep breath.

"I always was. I always will be."

The silence of the dressing room was comfortable. Safe. Just her and her reflection.
