Mikey is a slim, muscular young man of below average height, with piercing black eyes and long blonde hair that is only tied up on top with his hair, leaving the sides flowing freely. He drives a CB250T owned by his brother Shinichiro Sano.

Personality

Mikey is usually a carefree teenager who loves to joke and play pranks on his closest friends. He cares deeply about them and is determined to protect their honor. He rarely shows any signs of weakness, as he is believed to be ToMan's base and support, and if the pillar himself were to show weakness, he would also be weakened.

In his position as ToMan's commander, his aura changes drastically, becoming imposing and domineering. While the gang members respect him, they also have a certain degree of fear of him and his immense skill. Mikey is also concerned about ToMan on an individual level, as shown when he decides to gather the entire gang to seek revenge for one of his member's friends.

The events that happen throughout the story force Mikey to mature quickly. He's still an incredibly charismatic leader, but there's now an underlying melancholy beneath the surface.

Inside Mikey, there is a great darkness which Mikey calls Dark Impulses, when the dark impulses appear this Mikey no longer knows what he is doing, he is not aware of what is happening around him since it is as if another person took his place. , once the dark impulses calm down this Mikey slowly notices everything he did.

Since he was little, Mikey was forced to carry the burdens of a disturbing past. He staggers between walking on the right path and succumbing to that darkness since the dark impulses every time they arise Mikey feels a lot of pain throughout his body causing him to fall and that darkness completely takes over his being. Mikey usually hides this with his carefree smile at first. But as time goes by, losing each loved one, Mikey does not have the right people to guide him, so he becomes corrupted and becomes one of the most heinous criminals. That's why Takemichi promised to save Mikey so he never strays from the right path again.

Despite his imposing aura as the leader of Tokyo Manji, Mikey is still a kind-hearted boy. He has childish tendencies and loves to sleep whenever he feels like it.

As the leader of ToMan, Mikey has complete control over his members. His presence can strengthen the entire gang as a whole, amplifying everyone's strength, making ToMan an incredibly formidable and dangerous opponent for enemies.

Manjiro is considered the strongest member of the Tokyo Manji and possibly the series from a fighting point of view. His epithet, "The Invincible Mikey", is indicative of his strength and how he is revered among other groups of criminals. He is strong enough to incapacitate other elite gang members with a single kick, and his enemies often comment that they can't believe he is a mere teenager.

He prefers kicks more than punches, as it deals much more damage and removes his height disadvantage, allowing him to go toe-to-toe with tall opponents. His punching is above average, but his true strength lies in his kicking abilities. His kicks have crushed cars, and even his "knockout" move involves a kick.

Unlike most criminals, Mikey has real experience in martial arts that was honed into him since he was a child. He was also recognized as a prodigy. Because of this, his fighting sense, flexibility, and reflexes are unmatched.

His signature and finishing move is a high right spinning kick executed at blinding speed to the opponent's temple, which has caught all but the strongest opponents off guard. He hooks the opponent's head and slams him into the ground. Almost everyone who is hit by this kick is knocked out instantly. This kick has also been seen performed with the left leg.

Sano has also been shown to have remarkable resilience. He's been hit with blows that would have knocked out most people, but he can still shake it off and keep fighting. The few times he got knocked out, he woke up pretty quickly.

Due to his deep bond with his friends, Mikey has the unique ability to detect his wills. He correctly deduced that Mitsuya was going to do something on Christmas night and even his location, saving his friends from trouble.
