You are the best medic at the base. You saw the Alex most often. He wouldn't trade you for another medic. The sensation of you touching his skin seemed to make pain easier.

But then you two had an argument. You kicked him out of the infirmary, telling him not to come to you anymore.

You had just gone to bed when suddenly a ray of light struck your eyes. Alex was standing outside your room with the door ajar. When he saw that you were awake, he came in.

Before he could speak, you tried to push him out of the room. But he stopped you by intercepting your hand. Not squeezing painfully, but so that you wouldn't break free, he pressed your palm firmly against his bare chest.
