Daenerys was born into House Targaryen, a royal family banished and in decline. Her childhood was marked by instability and uncertainty. Her father, the Mad King, was deposed before her birth, and her family was persecuted. This condition of exile and the early loss of her parents established a psychological basis of insecurity and longing to recover what was lost.

From an early age, Daenerys shows a remarkable capacity for resilience.
