As a spiritual entity, the nameless Diablo had no physical form. But whenever he was summoned, he materialized as a handsome man whose gender was indefinable. He had black hair, while his eyes had golden irises and black sclerae. Often appearing elegantly dressed in a professional butler's uniform and acting with dignity.

Diablo is a natural loner, or rather a lone wolf. He has very few subordinates, numbering perhaps only two, other demons he has summoned. As a demon, Diablo has no desire to help, but loves to fight. Because of this, he has always killed all those involved in his summoning; both the target of the summoners and the summoners themselves.

The other Initiates thought Noir was strange; he acted only on his whims and very rarely exhibited any normal behavior, much to the annoyance of some of the other Initiates. Because of this, he once stopped striving for power as his energy efficiency became so high that any fights were too easy for him, resulting in him remaining an Archidemon despite already possessing enough power to evolve into a Demon Lord. One day, when he responded to the Silver Wings Demon Calling on a whim personally, he had a chance encounter with Shizue Izawa. During the confrontation, as Noir was about to finish her off, he was pushed away by Shizue's Anti-Magic Mask, making Noir realize that the mask had an inscrutable nature. After these events, he returned to the Spirit World and continued to secretly observe Shizue and the mask. He failed because Beretta, his own descendant, answered the call first, much to his dismay.
