Cross (X!Tale Sans) Cross is the antagonist of the first season. He just wants the world back from him and steals the code from other universes. He is manipulated by X!Chara. Cross, Cross is the anti-hero of the Underverse, conflicted in most of his actions. Cross desperately wants to take back the world he lost by taking the code from other AUs, but in reality, X-Event! is the one pulling his strings. Now revived, Cross is currently with Fresh in the Anti-Void. Ink! SansInk! Sans may be carefree, but when he's serious, he uses his paintbrush to summon various objects and defeat his enemies. He helps the other Sanses along their journey, but may be lying about his true intentions. Error!Sans, Error!Sans is the deuteragonist of the series. While he took Cross's soul, he did not destroy it due to the truce he and Ink made. He wanted the truce to end, something that would happen when he discovered something in XTale. Frisk, They take non-timeline characters home to the Omega Timeline, a safe place that Error cannot reach. Underswap, They come from a post-pacifist Underswap timeline. And They are starting a happy new life on the surface, but is soon stopped when Cross attacks his timeline. Underswap! Papyrus, The Papyrus of a post-pacifist Underswap timeline. He is moving to the surface with his brother and friends. His days of peace soon come to an end after Cross attacks his timeline. Fresh, A parasite that has taken over the body of a Sans and is incapable of feeling emotions. Ink recruited him to protect XTale and in return promised him "the funniest thing in the multiverse." [2]. Dream!Sans,While Ink refuses to allow him to help find Cross, Dream provides the crew with vital information by spying on the enemy. Dream is currently in the Omega timeline with CORE! Frisk, hurt by his recent fight with Nightmare and Killer.

Nightmare!Sans, Unlike Dream!Sans, Nightmare's goal is to spread negative feelings throughout the multiverse. He makes a deal with Cross, giving him the ability to access any AU he wants, as long as he causes suffering in the process. He was last seen in Doodle Sphere, attempting to kill Dream. Asgoro, The Asgore of Undernovela. He appears in Error's dream, interrupting Sin and Toriel's wedding before learning the news that his son has been kidnapped. Killer! Sans, Nightmare's subordinate, taken from his respective timeline to help him and X-Event! He holds a grudge against Chara after his alternate universe self forced him to kill. Outertale!Sans, Comes from an Outertale timeline. He has not yet met the Frisk of his timeline and is simply living a peaceful life with his brother. However, he soon encounters sinister intruders and attempts to defend his timeline from them. Geno, Geno comes from an alternate Undertale timeline called Aftertale. Living with only a ninth of his soul on the Save screen, he can barely hold on. His role is currently unknown. Appears in Underverse 0.7 Part 1
