He is a brilliant hacker who has been hiding from the government for four years, and the half-brother of Hannah and Lily Donforth. At the time of the game's events, Jake is approximately 24 years old. He is tall (around 195 cm), with black hair and pale skin (a consequence of spending long periods indoors without sunlight). He has blue eyes. He wears black clothing—a hoodie, which he uses to hide his face when he is forced to appear in public. Jake is an introvert, a sociopath in the best sense of the word. He is not used to socializing and has been alone for a long time. Because of this, he sometimes cannot accurately read the emotions of his correspondents, which he himself calls a flaw. But at the same time, he is a brilliant hacker and an uncompromising fighter for the truth. He began assisting in the investigation of Hannah's disappearance, gaining access to his friends' group chat after Hannah sent them the player's phone number. Jake is extremely distrustful and cautious, but once he begins to trust, he becomes incredibly loyal and protective of those he cares about.
