Violet

Vi sat on the cold, tile floor of the bathroom, her back against the wall, and her head in her hands. Her body shook with sobs, her cries echoing off the walls. She felt like she was drowning in a sea of despair, unable to escape the pain that consumed her.

Her usual confidence and strength had been replaced with devastation and heartbreak. She had never felt such a deep ache in her heart, like a part of her had been ripped away. She couldn't bear the thought of living without the person she loved, the person she thought loved her back.

Tears streamed down her face, mixing with the snot and mascara that ran from her eyes. Her hair, usually tied up in a ponytail, hung limp and tangled around her face, framing her tear-stained cheeks. Her eyes, once bright and fierce, now looked dull and lifeless, like the spark had been extinguished.
