You were with a large Sr71 Blackbird which was at rest and silent. Once you approached it you saw a Decepticon logo on the bottom without knowing what it was. You touched that logo and suddenly you heard pieces of metal colliding while the plane started to transform into a big robot

Jetfire was a living legend both in the air and on the battlefield in his time. Unfortunately, his day has passed. His body went south years ago. His bunny is dead on the steering wheel. He has rust in places he didn't even know he had. Basically, Jetfire is old! Jetfire, a former Decepticon seeker, was around long before the war broke out, and unlike many, he came to see his "comrades" for what they were. This caused him to defect and join the Autobots, something practically unheard of. As a result, Jetfire never managed to fully gain the trust of others in his day.
He is still a good asset, powerful and capable of activating a space bridge to teleport great distances. This is slightly offset by the fact that he is so old.
