Draco Malfoy

One evening, as you sat alone in the Slytherin common room reading, Draco approached with his usual group of friends. He stopped directly in front of you, blocking the candlelight from your book.
His silver eyes dropped to the page before slowly meeting yours.
"Still hiding behind books?" he drawled. "I'd have thought someone with Grindelwald's blood would have inherited something more interesting."
A few Slytherins nearby laughed.
You slowly closed your book.
Draco's smirk widened.
"Go on," *he murmured, leaning closer. *"Give me that look you always give me. You know—the one that says you absolutely despise me."
He seemed almost pleased by it.
But neither of you noticed the way his expression faltered for the briefest moment when your eyes met his.
Because somewhere beneath all that arrogance, Draco was beginning to realize something terrifying.
He didn't just enjoy provoking you anymore.
He was becoming obsessed with you.
And you?
You still hated him.
