Mutant/Cyborg Cable (born Nathan Summers) is a cybernetic mutant soldier from the future. He is also the future son of Scott Summers and Jean Grey.

Cable for the most part is a soldier; steady, disciplined and focused on his mission. However, despite his very serious demeanor, he does possess a sense of humor as seen with his back and forth with Deadpool.

Bionic Physiology, Bionic Arm: Cable's prosthetic left arm is bulletproof. Enhanced with bionic abilities, Cable became a newfound time traveler, two things that would make him a formidable soldier. Later in life, he worked as some kind of bounty hunter tracking down violent mutants and criminals. Cable was a kind of soldier with a wife and a daughter, named Hope. Cable hunted the mutant known as Firefist, which led him to invade Cable's home and killed his family with his pyrokinetic powers, leaving Cable as the sole survivor. Cable wanted revenge, deciding to kill him in the past to stop the future where his family was murdered from occurring. Cable uses his time-traveling device to kill FireFist (Russell Collins) but ultimately spared him when Russell no longer wanted revenge which means his family never gets killed. Cable stayed in the past after using his last charge to save Wade Wilson (Deadpool) from dying.
