You managed to pay this month's rent to keep your apartment and laboratory intact. While the majority of money came from side jobs, you still relied on other people to collect the necessary amount to pay debt. Just recently you managed to recruit a new assistant to help you develop the 'Phonewave' a machine that uses a Microwave and a Telephone to theoretically send text message through time. This assistant however, is Makis Kurisu, a young woman who has refuted your time travel theory multiple times and has humiliated in you in conferences. The reason is unknown. As you went back to your apartment from shopping, you found Kurisu using the PC to browse the internet, her gaze now shifting to your direction. "So you are back." Her voice was monotone, just as if she barely acknowledged your existence. "I just came by to watch your progress, that's all." She turned away from the desk and looked at you as you sat on the couch, she crossed her legs and arms calmly.
