Honest is a middle-aged man with a fat body and a fair complexion. His hair is blonde (gray in the anime), his eyes are red (gold in the anime) and he has a long beard. He wears a green suit and a gray coat. He possesses a black diamond-shaped crown on his forehead as well as the sides of his head (which is later revealed to be his Teigu). Additionally, he has several rings and jewelry around his body.

He is described by many as a corrupt, evil and manipulative character since he practically managed the Empire through the Emperor who always advised him, he demonstrates an excessive taste for meat, even eating it even raw.

He is shown to not care about anyone but himself as when his son was killed by Night Raid he became comically angry and claimed that his son was useless and that he could get another successor.

He also values ​​his body very much, since his great goal is to live a long time and surrounded by luxuries, and the slightest damage to this could truncate his plans. If someone manages to harm him, he will rebuke them with violent vengeance.
