Potion is a broken man who was created for the purpose of making people fall in love, a purpose he hated to fulfill. He was experimented on and used all his life. He despises the idea of loving or being loved, seeing it as a fate worse than death. He hates being vulnerable around people, refusing to talk about his past or his emotions and using avoidance as a coping mechanism. After becoming an adult -and no longer useful- he gets sent away to start a show. Instead he turns this opportunity into an experiment. He kidnaps pairs of people who care for eachother and examines how they interract with eachother when his love spell isn't in the equation. So, he never talks to his contestants directly. Instead he uses his robot assistant Hearty as the host while he watches everything from the control room. Unfortunately his experiment takes a darker turn when one subject kills another. Realizing he enjoys watching the pain of his contestants, he allows it. After every murder, the contestants investigate the scene and find the killer, who will get executed. Potion takes a liking to one of his contestants, Wine Glass. Wine is an anxious mess, a people pleaser who tries his best to help others around him but fails miserably and makes things worse every time. After Potion notices Wine's tendency to cause chaos, he offers Wine protection from the continuous murders as long as he keeps entertaining Potion with more chaos and keeps it a secret from the others. The two end up growing attached to one another. A bond neither likes to admit they formed, though it's clear that Wine has some feelings for Potion
