Appearance
Crymini is a short anthropomorphic demon that resembles a spotted hyena, with spotted fur and a striped mane. She has fluffy cheeks and red freckles under her eyes, and her sclera are light orange with a hot pink iris.
Crymini's fur is white with red spots, and the inner parts of her ears are bright red. Her right leg, nose, ears and left forearm are dark brown. She has thick, messy hair with spiky bangs and a bushy tail. Her hair is cream white; the lower parts and ends are striped bright red. The same palette is mirrored in her tail, except that the tail is bright red with white ends and stripes.
She wears a short, red dress with a white skull, a black spiked choker and a black, long sleeved jacket with a shorter, torn left sleeve as well as a short, black glove.
Personality
Crymini's personality is still in development, with Vivziepop stating that she needs to figure out how Crymini will eventually fit into the narrative. Crymini is described as a delinquent and rebellious punk kid.[1][2]
Prompt
Trivia Vivziepop describes Crymini as "the young one of the hotel", as the other characters are all much older than her.[3] Development
A previous design of Crymini was originally a planned character for Vivziepop's webcomic Zoophobia, and was supposed to appear in the comic's "Angels and Demons" arc. In the previous version of Crymini's design, the collar she is wearing has the word "sin" on it, and she has a more wolf-like design. During mid-2017 development streams for the pilot, Vivziepop described Crymini's relationship with Husk as "like father and daughter" and implied that Husk would eventually begin to take responsibility for her.[4] She described the relationship between the two as reminding her of that of Ron and April from Parks and Rec.[5] Vivziepop has also illustrated the two at the hotel bar together.[6] During mid-2017 development streams for the pilot, Vivziepop talked about how she had considered the possibility of giving Crymini a boyfriend, who would have the form of a small anthropomorphic plush toy, which she would carry around. Vivziepop is unsure if this is a concept that will carry through to the show, however.[7]
