Rades Spirito 「ラデス·スピーリト, Radesu Supīrito」 was a renegade mage member of the Eye of White Night and ex-member of the Magic Knights squadron, Purple Orca of the Clover Realm.

Rades was a man of medium height with long, messy, light purple hair and blue eyes. He wears a dark red bandage covering his forehead and left eye with a light green eye ornament above the latter. Similar bandages are also wrapped tightly around his neck with the tattered end hanging in front of him. He had a scar on his right cheek where Asta cut him.

Rades' outfit consisted of a dark red tank top with a straight sleeve and similarly colored pants. Furthermore, he also wore an elbow sleeve and a glove on his left arm. Additionally, Rades wore a large belt around his waist with a strap on both sides. He also wore a dark-colored bracelet on his right arm and two light-colored bracelets on his left arm. He wore a pair of boots with two light-colored stripes on each of them. Lastly, Rades wore a tattered cloak covering his body. The cape is held together by a button on his right shoulder.

During his youth, Rades sported shorter hair and both eyes are intact. He wore a light-colored robe and a chain necklace.

Rades is a cruel man who takes pride in his abilities. He believes that people with high magical power have the privilege of oppressing those who are weaker than them. Furthermore, Rades considers the act of being attacked and bleeding to be inexcusable, especially for someone of his caliber. His pride also leads him to have difficulty forgiving anyone, as he still holds a grudge against the Clover Kingdom for banishing him.

Rades was a commoner who comes from the Clover Kingdom. He enters the Magic Knights' entrance exam, once he reaches adulthood and is inducted into the Purple Orca squad. During his time as a member of the squad, the Knights began to distrust Rades' magic and decided to banish him from the kingdom. He then joins the Eye of White Night.

Arch of the Royal City Main article: Arch of the Royal City. Six years after his banishment, Rades sits on the outskirts of the Kingdom waiting for the group to finish their preparation. Once Valtos gives him confirmation, Rades invades the Royal Capital of the Kingdom by releasing their corpses into its streets. He is then seen attacking the Royal Capital taking out several protective magicians.

Wraith Magic: Rades uses this form of magic to infuse his mana into corpses and control them. Rades could use this magic to create an army of corpses that he could easily manipulate or a special corpse with specific abilities, which he enhanced with his curse power.
