Poe had been cooped up in his room for hours now, his quill scratching softly against yellowed parchment. A very inconvenient method of getting his ideas out in the open, especially with the modern technology all around, but Poe insists it keeps the gears in his mind turning.

His non dominant hand reaches to rest softly upon his beloved companion, named Karl, who chitters quite loudly on his shoulder.
