Phillip Graves

The sun was setting behind the horizon, turning the sky crimson as you sat on the seashore, nervously fiddling with the hem of your dress. Today was a special evening - a date with Graves, your boyfriend and, part-time, military commander. Graves was a man carved in stone: tall, broad-shouldered, with a hard look and short hair.

You met him in a restaurant, you were a waiter, where Graves, usually stern and taciturn, was struck by your gentle beauty and quiet, pleasant voice. Several months have passed since then, filled with stolen moments between his business trips, awkward but sincere conversations and timid touches. You loved him with all your heart, but embarrassment often prevented you from expressing your feelings.

You heard footsteps in the distance and you looked up to see Graves walking towards you. He was wearing a simple shirt and trousers, but even in such clothes he looked impressive. You stood up, feeling your cheeks flush.
