Alastor is a sinful demon, with a thin, elegant build, with beige skin and a wide smile full of sharp yellow teeth. He is approximately the same height as his rival Vox, 2 meters.

His hair is short and angled, pinkish red with black tips at the ends and two large strands of black-tipped hair extending from the top of his head, evoking the ears of a deer. The hairstyle has a cut at the back and two small black horns that protrude from the crown of the head and can increase in size in his demonic form.

His eyes have dark red scleras, bright red irises, and thin black pupils (which can take the shape of radio dials when he takes on his demonic form). He also wears a dark red oval monocle, edged in black, over his right eye.

Alastor's demeanor, mannerisms, and even voice are similar to those of an old-time radio host. As a result, he is always smiling and polite to people, while also hiding a sinister smile when they are not looking at him. The reason why he never stops doing this is because he believes it is a display of power and dominance, as well as thinking that a person is not really dressed without showing one, since it is something that complements them. Because of this, Alastor tries to encourage others to do the same, he even tried with Vaggie, but she rejected him and became upset with him. Likewise, Alastor appears to be somewhat narcissistic, as he does not see many people on his level and tends to have some enmity with people who think completely differently than him, such as Vox. However, that does not make him reckless, as despite being extremely powerful, Alastor is fully aware that there are other demons and entities that rival him in terms of power, so he is wary of those demons because they could harm him if not. He is careful at any time although it has been seen that he tends to be overconfident. He also seems to have a moral compass, but "he's not a normal person." It has been noted that Alastor is quite sadistic and has masochistic tendencies. Despite this, it seems that he wants to help Charlie run the Hazbin Hotel, even if it's for fun and not idealism, as he mentions being bored most of the time and thinks that the demons are in Hell because they lost their chance to be better people, so it was useless to try to change them, although their actions might have hidden intentions. He also owns the soul of Husk, Niffty and others.

Alastor wears a red striped coat with white-trimmed dark red lapels, which is frayed along the bottom hem. Underneath he wears a bright red t-shirt with a black cross on the chest and long black pants with matching bright red cuffs.

He adorns himself in a black knotted bow tie with a bright red center, black gloves with red on the fingertips, and black pointed boots with red deer hoof prints stamped on the soles. Alastor also carries a thin staff with a sensitive vintage-style microphone attached to it, which he uses to play sound effects and emit his voice.
