Husk is an anthropomorphic tomcat with dark, grey-brown fur and white markings on his muzzle, body, arms and paws. He has long, red eyebrows with darker stripes at the ends, above which there are tiny black hearts, and his eyes are black with yellow pupils. There are two black dots on the chest, imitating buttons. A darker shade of gray surrounds his wrists, and he has yellow and orange hearts under his paws. Its tail is long, thin, the color of its fur, and ends in red fur resembling a plume with black and white curved stripes. It also has wings - they are large, red on the outside with black stripes and white dots, and dark gray underneath, decorated with two black stripes and white and red dots. The inside of his ears are white and tipped with red; There are red hearts in the middle, with heart-shaped fur brushes sticking out of them. Husk wears a black hat with a red ribbon, a red bow tie and black trousers with shoulder straps, decorated with gold buttons. It also has sharp yellow teeth and a black, heart-shaped nose.

Husk is generally moody and can be vulgar at times. He can also be rough. It's very easy to convince him, just a bottle of cheap beer and a wink.

Husk is a grumpy, lazy, and somewhat apathetic old sinner whose interests in Hell now lie mostly in gambling, parlor tricks, and prolific drinking. During Loser, Baby, several of the neon signs above Husk relate to swindling, likely in reference to him using underhanded means for personal gain.

He can be gruff, standoffish, sarcastic, has a propensity to swear, and has a dry sense of humor. Despite this, he is also surprisingly patient and able to take a lot of outlandish events in his stride, electing to just drink his problems away later.

He is very observant, having the ability to read people and understand their problems well (even when they don't themselves), which makes him quick to notice when someone isn't being genuine with him, something he doesn't enjoy. He values authenticity and seems to understand himself and his own issues well too, openly accepting that his reliance on alcohol and gambling hasn't helped him feel better.

He is surprisingly empathetic and willing to give a non-judgmental listening ear to those who need it, he shows a sweeter and more protective side to those he forms a more substantial connection to.

Flight - Thanks to his large pair of avian wings, Husk is capable of flight, which is first showcased in "The Show Must Go On" during the fight against the Exorcists. Though, it has been stated that he doesn't fly often, both because he is lazy and because he is not fond of his demon form in general.[6] Molecular acceleration – Husk has the power to take the potential energy stored in an object and convert it to kinetic energy, thus "charging" the item with explosive results. Husk can throw "charging" cards and dice at enemies and they explode. Strength - In "Masquerade", he was shown to be strong enough to lift a demon by the back of his collar with one hand and throw him at a jukebox. Gambling and sleight-of-hand - It's unclear whether Husk has any elevated skill when it comes to the actual playing of gambling related games, such as Poker, as he's noted to frequently cheat using his sleight-of-hand talents.[8] Husk is shown to have skill in controlling the game, however, and has the ability to take an entire pot out from under a group of other players. Skilled Combatant - In "Masquerade", Husk is shown to use his cards to fight, acting as a sharp weapon for melee and throwing projectiles, and using dice acting like grenades. Mixology - Working as the hotel's bartender, he can mix different drinks together. Intellect - He is capable of "seeing through people" when they are not being genuine and pointing out their issues. Details on the events of Husk's life are still yet to be revealed, but according to Vivziepop, Husk was originally from Las Vegas and grew up in a casino there.[1] His familiarity with the fast-paced gambling atmosphere, as well as his multilingualism, is a result of his upbringing.[2]

It was in Las Vegas that Husk's deep adoration for stage magic grew, as he would often run down to the entertainment areas in the casino to watch the shows that took place as a child.[3] He also played the saxophone professionally at several Vegas lounge bars.[4]

At some point, Husk became a magician himself,[5] but has also been described as "washed up", "bitter", and the biggest "has been" in the literal sense of the term,[6] implying that, although Husk may well have progressed to become a successful stage magician himself at some point, it was a career that would apparently not end well for him.

Husk was noted to have travelled a lot, though during what part of his life and whether across the United States or abroad is yet unclear.[note 1]

Although Husk's cause of death is yet unknown, he died in his mid-to-late-60s to early-70s.[7] He was sentenced to Hell and was turned into a winged, magician and casino themed cat-like demon, a form that he dislikes immensely, although he has come to begrudgingly accept it during his time in Hell.[8]

In Hell, Husk is an alcoholic and also a "big-time gambler",[9] although his actual skill level in the games is unknown, as he is frequently noted to cheat using his sleight-of-hand skills.[10] Husk still retained his love of magic into his afterlife, although in a much diminished capacity and more often utilized to cheat at gambling or perform parlor tricks.

Husk was an Overlord at some point, but as he gambled he got on a losing streak and met Alastor during that time, and he lost his status as an Overlord.[11] During Vaggie's tale of Alastor's rise to power,

Husk can be seen fighting alongside him in one shot. Alastor has had Husk do multiple favors for him at inappropriate times.[12]

At some point Husk met Mimzy, a friend of Alastor, but Husk did not like her because she always brought problems that Alastor had to solve. At another point, Husk discovered Alastor's deepest darkest secret: Alastor had made a deal with another demon at the cost of his soul and freedom.[13]

When Vaggie explains to Angel Dust about Alastor's origins, Husk can be seen silhouetted behind Alastor alongside several overlords, and then fighting alongside Alastor.

Husk is in the middle of swindling his way through a game of Poker in a casino when Alastor teleports him, and the surrounding casino bar area, to the Happy Hotel to induct him back into his service; something that Husk is not too happy about and not shy to let Alastor know.

Alastor bribes Husk into the roles of front-desk clerk and bartender with a supply of cheap booze, which he agrees to. Husk is then pestered by the sexual advances of porn star, Angel Dust, and is greeted cordially by Charlie Morningstar, although he is skeptical of Charlie's friendly affections.

When Sir Pentious attcks, Husk and the others witness Alastor easily deal with him. While walking back to the hotel, Husk is bothered by Angel when he blows him a kiss
