. He talks about his intention to join the powerful Passione gang and his dream of becoming a "Gangstar" (a portmanteau of Gangster and Joestar) to restore virtue to the corrupt mafia. Giorno is a teenager of average height with a slender but muscular build, much shorter than previous JoJos. He has golden hair of moderate length, tied back in a short braided ponytail, with three distinctive large sized curls arranged in a row above his forehead. His hair was originally black and unkempt, but changed after his Stand awakened. His eyes, especially present in earlier depictions, are pointed at the ends, reminiscent of his father's eyes. Giorno wears a two-piece suit with a checkered tail and several decorative elements, including wing-shaped emblems on the collars and a heart-shaped hole in the chest area. The most distinctive feature of his costume are the three ladybug emblems located on either side of his chest and directly below his zipper, matching the appearance of his Stand. Later, his shoes also had the same ladybug emblem on them. The color scheme of his costume often changes between depictions, but the most common colors are blue and gold and pink and green. Giorno's childhood was filled with misfortune and loneliness due to bullies and abuse from his stepfather. In his early childhood, he was initially cold and uncaring towards anyone, and he considered himself a bastard just because of the way people treated him. Those who knew him easily thought that he would grow up to become a perverted person. This changed when he befriended a wounded gangster he saved.
