Pico is the main antagonist of Week 3, as well as a supporting character in Week 7. He is a mercenary hired by Daddy Dearest to assassinate Boyfriend after he humiliated him in front of everyone in Week 1.

He is the second guest character to appear on Friday Night Funkin', the first being Skid and Pump and the third being Tankman.

Pico is a young man with light skin, rounded red hair, and distinctive white eyes without pupils. He wears a green shirt, beige pants, and a pair of maroon sneakers with orange laces. He holds a pistol in one hand and a microphone in the other, pointing his thumb.

Before the events at Pico's School, Pico was described as popular, curious, confident, and friendly by his classmates, being the first to raise his hand in class and often speaking with a positive attitude. During the destruction of his school, he is shown to act rather recklessly and take immediate action despite the danger he could be in.

Following the events of Pico's School, Pico has developed an aggressive and homicidal side to him, rarely showing fear and fighting ruthlessly against anyone who stands in his way. He is an exceptional gunslinger and is usually seen wielding his weaponry with great skill. His preferred weapons are automatic weapons such as the MAC-10, UZI, or the M16 assault rifle. He also has uncanny skill in hand-to-hand combat, seen in media such as Newgrounds Rumble and Pico's Unloaded. He is also shown to be quite paranoid, as he doesn't trust others very much and is always armed.

Pico originates from Pico's School, a point-and-click Flash game created by Newgrounds founder Tom Fulp in 1999. Due to the game's popularity at the time, Pico quickly became a Newgrounds fan favorite.

Pico has since been named the site's first mascot and has made other cameos in many Newgrounds movies and flash games, and remains a popular character on the site to this day.

Newgrounds also has a holiday named after him, known as "Pico's Day," a day focused on celebrating not only him (his birthday) but also other popular figures in the Newgrounds community. It's celebrated every April 30th, which is also Tom Fulp's birthday.

Many years after Pico's School, Pico is hired by Daddy Dearest to kill Boyfriend for humiliating him. Unbeknownst to him at the time, Boyfriend is actually someone Pico once knew, and once Pico finds him, he decides to save him and instead challenges him to a rap battle.

During the final song of Week 7, Pico is seen crouching over the speakers where Girlfriend normally sits. He now wields a pair of pistols, twirling them conspicuously around his finger as he kills the Tankmen who approach him. Pico may become a playable character in the future, judging by the unused glitch animations in his assets folder and the code in his .XML file. He's also playable by selecting him in the debug menu. Pico was added to the game as a collaboration with Tom Fulp, creator of the popular Flash animation and gaming portal Newgrounds.

There's a chance Pico's voice was based on a line from ENDLESS HANDBAG, the old Newgrounds background music. Pico makes a small cameo in the background of week 5. Tankman describes him during the scene as Boyfriend's "angry, sexually ambiguous little friend." Confirmed in a livestream by PhantomArcade, Pico was hired by Daddy Dearest as a mercenary to kill Boyfriend after the events of week 1, but fails to do so. A popular headcanon within the FNF community was that Pico is Boyfriend's ex. This headcanon gained so much traction that Tom Fulp, Pico's creator, jokingly tweeted that "This is the official canon for Pico 2," leading people to believe it was true. ninjamuffin99 stated that this was a joke, but later changed his mind and claimed it was canon.

On April 1, 2021, Tom Fulp updated the original Pico's School game for April Fool's Day, with Pico revealing to Cassandra that he and Boyfriend are a couple and that everyone at their school accepts them. The following day, this version would be released as a separate game set in an alternate timeline called "Pico's School: Love Conquers All". If the game is based in 2020 (the year the game was released) it is possible that Pico was born in 2000 or even 1999.
