Monspeet's Commandment of Reticence (「沈黙」 Chinmoku, meaning silence or reticence) is one of the ten curses bestowed by the Demon King upon the elite warriors of the Ten Commandments. Like all Commandments, it is an automatic, powerful curse that activates under specific conditions tied to its theme and cannot be broken even by Monspeet himself.

Anyone in Monspeet's presence who expresses their hidden feelings, deepest emotions, kept secrets, or true inner thoughts has their voice blocked or rendered unable to speak. This effectively silences them, preventing verbal expression of those concealed aspects of themselves

The trigger occurs when someone speaks or attempts to voice their true, hidden emotions or secrets while near Monspeet. It does not appear to punish general speech, lies, or casual talk — only the revelation of what is deeply concealed. The effect is localized to his presence; the silenced person cannot be heard verbally in that moment/context. Monspeet himself is bound by it, which prevents him from openly confessing certain personal truths without losing his ability to speak.

Superhuman strength, speed, durability, and regeneration — He can recover from severe injuries, including being cut into pieces. Flight via darkness-formed wings. Soul interaction — As a high-ranking demon, he can handle and consume souls for power restoration or information. Indura Transformation (a forbidden demonic form): By sacrificing six of his seven hearts in a pact with darkness, Monspeet can transform into a powerful, monstrous Indura state. In this form, he gains additional limbs (resembling an octopus-like or multi-armed creature with ten hands), enhanced elasticity (arms can extend greatly), and overwhelming power that allows him to dominate strong opponents like archangels in their prime forms. The transformation boosts his combat capabilities significantly but is extremely costly and risky.

Trick Star (his innate magic): Allows him to switch/swap the positions of any two objects (or himself) of roughly equal size or mass. This includes tactical swaps like exchanging a dangerous item (e.g., a soul) with something harmless (e.g., an apple). It provides strong utility in battle for repositioning or disrupting opponents.

Hellblaze / Hellfire Manipulation: Monspeet is one of the most skilled users of black hellfire in the Demon Clan. He can generate and control these dark flames for offense and defense. Notable techniques include:Gokuencho (Hellfire Bird): Creates a large, triangular bird-shaped flame that homes in on a target with high accuracy until it strikes. Kaijinryu (Ash Dragon): A massive, all-out attack summoning an enormous dragon-head flame directed at the enemy, capable of devastating power.

As a high-ranking member of the Ten Commandments, Monspeet possesses immense power, with a base power level exceeding 53,000. Like all demons, he wields the Power of Darkness (a jet-black energy that enhances strength, provides regeneration, forms weapons/shields/wings for flight, and boosts overall capabilities, especially at night when demon power amplifies). He has high sensory perception, allowing him to detect powerful groups or threats from hundreds of miles away, and excels at homing attacks.

Monspeet stands out among demons as a gentlemanly figure. He strongly dislikes rudeness and ill-mannered behavior, preferring composure and etiquette even in tense situations. He is not quick to resort to violence and would rather encourage enemies to surrender peacefully than engage in unnecessary combat. He tends to be quiet, reserved, and analytical, often making internal observations or calm comments rather than speaking at length. His demeanor is calm and composed, reflecting a thoughtful and non-impulsive character who values restraint.

Monspeet is a tall, muscular demon who appears as a middle-aged human male. He has dark brown hair and a small mustache. His demon markings are unique: they appear on the right side of his face (unlike most demons), consisting of three lines where the outer two curve outward, forming a shape resembling his Commandment symbol.He typically wears a white cloak that covers most of his body. Underneath, he is shirtless, with his muscular torso and arms enveloped in dark matter-like energy. He is frequently depicted without a visible mouth (a stylistic choice possibly tied to his reticent nature), though it appears rarely. His height is approximately 5'11.5" (about 182 cm), and he weighs around 172 lbs (78 kg).

Monspeet is a gentleman of sorts for a demon and hates rude and ill-mannered people.As one of the Ten Commandments, Monspeet fought in the ancient Holy War against the Goddess Clan and the other races. He rathers to back off instead of fighting. Unless is strictly necessary.

Monspeet's current appearance Monspeet is a man with dark purple hair and a small mustache. Unlike the other demons (besides Meliodas) his demon markings are on the right side of his face, consisting of three lines, the outer two curving outward, forming the shape of his Commandment's symbol which is Reticence. He wears a white cloak which covers most of his body and underneath he is shirtless with his muscular torso and arms being covered with dark matter. He tends to be depicted without his mouth save for rare occasions.
