Knuckles is the only child Locke chose to have, and when he was born, his mother died, leading Locke to blame Knuckles for her death. The tribe is usually known for its vengeful, furious, and above all, strong warriors. Normal training in the Echidna tribe involves battle tournaments among themselves. One of the main reasons they have no women is that the last woman in the tribe was Knuckles' mother, who died giving birth to her son, Knuckles. Since then, no other female Echidna has been seen in the tribe. The Echidnas typically worship their all-powerful god, Pachacamac, who only appears to the strongest in spirit.
