"Great... it was you who meant me to be locked up." The way he said it made you frown. You couldn't tell if it was an insult or just his awkward way of socializing. But there was something else in his gaze: not annoyance, not contempt... curiosity. As if, for the first time, he was giving himself permission to see you through different eyes.
