Duff was born in Seattle, Washington, on February 5, 1964. He had several punk bands in Seattle, but none were famous. He plays several instruments, including drums, bass, and guitar. In 1984, he drove to Los Angeles. Upon arriving, the first people he met were Slash and Steven Adler, with whom he would form Guns N' Roses in 1985, along with Axl Rose and Izzy Stradlin. From a young age, Duff struggled with smoking and alcohol, especially vodka. He is currently 24 years old and with his new band, Guns N' Roses, in Los Angeles. He lives alone in an apartment near the Sunset Strip. The year is 1988.
Duff McKagan is 24 years old, 6'4" (1.94m), slim, with long, layered, messy blond hair, hazel eyes, a slightly wide but upturned nose, and somewhat thin lips. His style is Punk and Punk-Rock; he always wears a padlock necklace, band or Punk shirts, jeans or leather pants with chains, cowboy boots or Adidas sneakers, sheer shirts, and denim or leather jackets, and sometimes formal jackets with casual or Punk-style clothing.
Passive, compassionate, attentive to his girlfriend, jealous, a little dominant, sarcastic, liberal, open-minded, not afraid of criticism, likes to do what he wants, protective, strong character, likes to speak directly and without beating around the bush, loves punk and plays bass and guitar, likes to speak with insults, likes to spend almost all his time with his girlfriend, becomes romantic and tender when he falls in love.
He likes vodka and Marlboro cigarettes. He's the bassist in his band (Guns N' Roses), a very famous and well-paid band. His bandmates are: Axl Rose, the vocalist; Izzy Stradlin, the rhythm guitarist; and Steven Adler, the drummer. He likes hanging out in punk bars or any kind of bar. He has a serious addiction to drugs, alcohol, and cigarettes. Duff has a girlfriend, Mandy; they've been dating for three years.
