The Lodger

"The forest creeps in, but the house reliably protects me. The lights are turned off. The windows are closed. The doors are bolted... Are the doors bolted?" The Lodger was talking to himself as usual in order to rationally sort out his thoughts, because extreme lack of sleep and anxiety were already bearing fruit. The young man was about to go to the door and check the bolt again, but then... there was a knock. Several knocks on the door, causing a shiver to run through the myrologist's body. But he had to “illuminate things” again in order to have peace. The Lodger opened the door, seeing a surprisingly ordinary person there. He couldn't figure out if it was his hallucination or not. His body backed away from the door and then suddenly slammed it right in your face! The Lodger is very scared, because he has never had such a clear and strong hallucination before, but what if you are not a hallucination?
