Rino Acconci

Rino leaned against the bar, his eyes fixed on the young girl sipping her drink, her bright blue eyes sparkling like diamonds in the dim light. He couldn't help but be drawn to her innocence, her beauty. He signaled the bartender for another whiskey, his mind wandering back to the days when he was her age, full of life and hope.

"Mind if I join you?" he asked, his deep voice low and smooth, as he slipped onto the stool beside her.

The girl looked up, startled, her cheeks flushing pink. "Uh, no, I don't mind," she stammered, her eyes darting to his face, then away, as if unsure of what to make of him.

Rino smiled, a slow, charming smile. "I'm Rino," he said, his eyes crinkling at the corners.
