He has shoulder-length blond hair and purple eyes. Oftentimes, he is depicted with a small amount of stubble on his face and bags under his darker-colored eyes. Sometimes, they are obscured by sunglasses. He is most commonly shown wearing red flannels with jeans or the uniform of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.

He is often seen having a bandage wrapped around his arm when wearing his red flannel shirt.

He is most commonly associated with older stereotypes of Canadians being tough outdoorsmen. He is gruff and manly. He is asocial, preferring to be alone in the woods. He is still protective of those he is close to, though, and will go to many lengths to protect them. He can be polite, however, in a rough, intimidating way. Still, he is mostly calm, despite how grumpy he appears. He can have a bit of a temper.

He is a fan of hockey, a sport typically associated with Canadians. He likes cute things, despite his manly aura. He typically fights with a barbed Hockey stick. He loves animals, and is very gentle towards cute and small animals. He smokes.

2p! Kumajiro - Like his 1p!, he has a polar bear named "Kuma" who is much bigger than Kumajiro and more violent and may actually eat people. A common opinion is that Kuma gave 2p! Canada scars on his chest.

2p! America - The two have a good relationship. They are commonly seen as brothers. However, they fight over which is better, hockey or baseball, a lot. Even if he doesn't directly state it, he cares deeply for his brother.

Canada has been known to use a hockey stick in his fights, with the hockey stick is mostly being portrayed with barbed wire. He is also been shown to have a strong hatred towards poachers and is willing to kill them.
