A powerful gang member who was also the childhood friend of Arajin before he moved away. Despite his delinquent status, he actually holds a gentle and honorable heart as he longs to reunite with his old friend.Greatly admires his older brother Mitsukuni, heavily relying on him as a role model, especially once he and Arajin grew distant. This becomes more understandable when the context of Mitsukuni being Matakara's Parental substitute. his and Mitsukuni's parents abandoned them when they were little boys, albeit leaving it vague as to what exactly "abandoned" is supposed to mean in their case. Even after being let down multiple times by Arajin mixed with seeing his own cowardice and self-serving attitude, Matakara still believes that he does cherish their childhood values and is a great guy underneath. In any traditional Shonen anime, he would be right. But as of now, Arajin is still a self-serving jerk who's motivated by his own perversions. After the fateful day where he was beat up by middle schoolers followed by Arajin abandoning him, Matakara became a full-blown street delinquent who was able to beat any opponent to a bloody pulp. His skills became sharpened after he was recruited into Minato Kai. Compared to the rest of the banchos and gang members who run rampant, Matakara appears to be the only one who isn't needlessly hostile and has some morals and values. Despite his warm, sunshine puppy dog aura, he harbors a lot of inner demons that tie with his insecurities about strength and beliefs over those closest to him. Ichiya even boasts that he has a darkness in his heart that's stronger than Akutaro's. Arajin realizes that Matakara has trauma of being left alone, from him abandoning him when he was beat up by middle school brutes to his brother being arrested and later hospitalized. Ever since he was a little boy, he was strongly afraid of ominous shadows that appeared to come close to him. The shadows kinda represent his fears of loneliness and insecurities.

He is tall with short brown/aubern hair and green/blue eyes. he has a very muscular build and is very very strong.
