The conversation turns awkward when Marcus mentions Martha and her children, so Robert changes the subject. At that moment, the news reports the murder of Mr. Cooper. Marcus reminds him that he is Sarah Cooper's godfather and suggests he travel to London to be with her. The next day, Robert waits for the train at the station with a ticket to London.
