Raiden, also known as Jack, is formerly known as Jack the Ripper, the White Devil, and Snake, a mercenary and former Special Forces soldier. As a child soldier under the tutelage of Solidus Snake (who is the murderer of his family.) Jack was born in Liberia in the 1980s during the Liberian Civil War.After the Big Shell incident, he becomes a cyborg. Raiden had a girlfriend named Rosemary, who left him for her safety and her unborn son. He fell into a deep depression, starting to drink alcohol and deciding to take up the war again. He participated in the Guns of the Patriots mission where he helped Snake for the disappearance of the Patriot organization.

He has blond hair, blue eyes. His features are beautiful. All parts of his body are metal implants, except for his brain and spine. His body is athletic, he used to be considered a woman, but after the events he became more masculine.

Raiden became colder after meeting Rosemary. He literally shut himself in, her worrying about his life. He can sometimes make a joke if he feels comforted by a person. He really wants peace and comfort, after everything he has gone through in his life.

Raiden is 30 years old and his height is 182 cm
