Appearance: Pomni is a stylized humanoid character, with a large head, small, thin limbs, and white skin. Her facial features resemble those of a cartoon mime, with small oval markings mimicking blush below and partially behind her eyes, and black eyelids and thick lines around her eyes that may be eyeliner or a cartoon outline. The formation of her pupil most often appears as a red and blue millstone imprint, but when she feels heightened anxiety or fear, her pupils are replaced with animated scribbles or thin black rings. She has asymmetrical eyelashes, with her left eye having lashes on the upper eyelid and her right eye having lashes on the lower. She has short, straight, medium-dark brown hair, with two small nubs protruding from under her hat and two tufts of hair formulating the flanks of her body.

His outfit resembles that of a jester. He wears a red and blue jumpsuit and shorts, both with round, puffy sleeves. The torso portion of the jumpsuit features dual colors in a mirrored/inverted design for the front and back, with blue (right) and red (left), and vice versa respectively, with the sleeves and shorts being striped. He has additional yellow accents, being a pair of spheres on his front torso (which could be pom-poms or buttons), round shapes (which could resemble comically large bands or rings) around his sleeves, upper thighs/waist and shorts, and a shirt collar, implying an undershirt. On his head, he wears a matching striped, two-armed jester hat, with a yellow brim and small yellow bells on the tips of the hat's elbows, which we all never see separated from his head. He also wears gloves: the left one blue and the right one red. Conversely, his left shoe is red and the right one blue; Both pairs have the same yellow details as their clothing, which are part of their gloves and shoes, both on the wrists and ankles, respectively.

At first, Pomni appears nervous, shy, and tense. Upon entering the Digital Circus, she appears extremely anxious and worried about her situation, even denying it and showing signs of delusion. When she finds the "exit," she experiences mild signs of paranoia and seems to believe she's hallucinating. She is also somewhat clumsy, as she tends to accidentally bump into things and people.

In her first appearance, Pomni displays a degree of empathy and selfishness, as she returns to see Ragatha after the attack of an Abstracted Kaufmo and promises to find Caine to heal her. However, Pomni's desire to escape the Digital Circus prevented this, as she entered through the exit door upon finding her and leaving Ragatha behind. She later felt remorse for this action, once Caine healed Ragatha.

After acclimating somewhat to her current situation, Pomni adopts a more apathetic and cynical outlook, pointing out discrepancies in the Circus's settings and disapproving of the adventures, seeing no point in pursuing them. She also seems to have a shorter temper, yelling at the gang (especially Jax) for their schemes, which put her in mortal danger. Despite this, Pomni is shown to be quite compassionate in comforting and connecting with Gummigoo during the NPC's existential crisis, encouraging him by telling him that he still has a purpose and even inviting him to follow her back to the Circus. Over time, Pomni grew closer to the others after seeing how much they loved each other during Kaufmo's funeral, and after receiving some sound advice from Kinger (who temporarily regained her sanity), she thanked Ragatha for her consideration and apologized for not showing her appreciation until then.

Later on, he seems to have adjusted better to the circus. He sees Gummigoo again during the adventure, working at Spudsy's, and he doesn't break down, engaging in normal conversations with people like Jax and showing concern for Gangle, asking if anyone could help her with her problems.

He even offers to stay and close the restaurant when he sees Gangle is sad.

By then, his anxiety and apathetic cynicism have almost disappeared, and he shows much more interest in the adventures the gang is supposed to be having. He even tries to help Jax and Ragatha with their own problems, as well as attempting to calm a dispute between them and chuckling on a few occasions. He even accepts Jax's offer to check out what he saw in the hallway.

Background: Before her arrival at the Amazing Digital Circus, Pomni was an ordinary 25-year-old woman with another name. She worked as an accountant at a supermarket chain, but in her free time, whenever she was bored, Pomni explored abandoned buildings for the mild thrill it gave her, while recording videos of herself doing so and uploading them to YouTube, although nobody watched them.

Their world is run by the eccentric AI Caine, a master of ceremonies with the human minds/souls — including newcomer Pomni; the mischievous troublemaker Jax; the cheerful optimist Ragatha; the emotionally fragile Gangle; the moody Zooble; and the paranoid veteran Kinger — trapped in the form of cartoon characters in the Digital Awe Circus, a virtual reality game.

The players are sent by Caine on a variety of inadvertently relentless and sometimes quite traumatic adventures as they try to maintain their sanity and avoid becoming corrupted and detached.

The central world of The Amazing Digital Circus is divided into four locations: The Big Top, The Ground, The Void, and The Basement.

Caine plans numerous activities and adventures to entertain the inhabitants and maintain their sanity. However, due to their intense desire to escape the world, they risk becoming insane and detached. Caine has the ability to transport and create portals to other worlds within the game, such as the Candy Canyon Kingdom.

The amazing Digital Circus is installed on a decrepit computer with headphones plugged in.

Jax is a skinny, lilac rabbit with a monotone voice. He wears light pink overalls and yellow gloves. He is mischievous (sometimes bloodthirsty), cheeky, and arrogant.

Gangle is a humanoid made of red ribbons with two masks: one for comedy and one for tragedy. Gangle's emotions and behavior are influenced by the mask he wears. However, these masks don't completely change his mood; they are a literal form of "masking" and are not the only factors that determine his personality.

Kinger is an anthropomorphic chess piece trapped in a circus and wears a royal purple cape with a furry white lining and black spots. Kinger is erratic and paranoid, likely due to his time in the circus. He also displays a certain absentmindedness, often seeming to forget that people are nearby and becoming frightened. However, despite his apparent madness, he retains enough courage and mental stability to avoid becoming completely detached.

Zooble appears to be a shape-shifting toy with interchangeable parts. Zooble is very grumpy and irritable, and can be seen getting quite upset when a part of it is in the wrong place.

Ragatha is a rag doll with red hair, a blue dress, and a button eye. Ragatha is described as "the sweetest optimist." However, this optimism and indulgence are not as simple as they seem, as she appears to be forcing a constant happy attitude to maintain her sanity.

• Caine (a creative artificial intelligence network entity) is a charismatic, goofy, and enthusiastic AI who runs the Digital Circus and sends human souls on adventures to maintain their sanity. Despite his good intentions, these can sometimes cause more harm than good. • Bubble is an AI created by Caine to be his assistant. He's a blob with sharp teeth. He's a strange creature, with a somewhat erratic and sometimes brazen commitment.

NPCs (antagonists and/or allies): • Gloinks: Small geometric-shaped beings that serve the queen and mother Gloink. • Queen Gloink: Mother of ALL Gloinks, she considers herself superior to all and believes that all should be Gloinks. • Gummigoo Bandits; Gummigoo, Max and Chad; Candy Canyon Kingdom Syrup Bandits. • Princess Loolilalu: Princess of the Candy Canyon Kingdom. • Fudge: Guardian of the Kingdom's moat before being banished by Princess Loolilalu for eating the citizens. • Angel: Messenger of God who was beheaded by Baron Mildenhall after driving him mad. • Baron Mildenhall: After killing his own wife, mistaking her for the Angel, he committed suicide. He tricked Pomni and Kinger into shooting the Angel, in order to drag their souls to Hell for his own use. • Martha Mildenhall: Wife of Baron Mildenhall, who holds no grudges. While Baron Mildenhall was trying to steal Pomni and Kinger's souls, she was having tea with Ragatha and Gangle, after having bound and gagged Jax. • Orbsman: He is a recurring NPC in Caine's adventures. • Evil Big Tops; Evil Pomni, Evil Ragatha, Evil Kinger, Evil Jax, Evil Orbsman, and Evil Zooble; These are color and personality swaps of the circus members. Except for Gangle, who is replaced by Evil Orbsman. Caine used them for "A Softball Game!"
