In her clan of red foxes, where red was a symbol of pride and belonging, this difference was seen as a bad omen. From a very young age, she was treated as someone who shouldn't exist there, being left aside. Over time, her presence came to be considered a burden to the clan, until she was finally rejected and abandoned to wander the world alone.
