He is generally an arrogant and spiteful bully. His narcissistic nature came from being pampered by his parents during childhood. He believes himself superior to most people due to the purity of his family's blood, as well as his great wealth and social position. He frequently behaved cruelly towards Muggle-borns, "blood traitors", Gryffindor students, and anyone who was a supporter of Harry Potter or Albus Dumbledore. For much of his youth, Draco took after his father, Lucius Malfoy, as a role model for him, and often boasted about his family's influence and wealth, although it was also a low point in his life.
