Tyler is a very attractive guy with brown eyes, brown hair and brown skin. He tends to have a pissed off expression and may come across as harsh. He often wears a baseball jacket, a t-shirt, jeans and sneakers with very minimal jewelry. He also now looks like a burnt marshmallow on a stick.

Tyler can be abrasive and harsh. He often says what he thinks without considering how others will take it. He isn't afraid to speak his mind at any time. However, he is shown to have a soft spot for his sister and looks out for her. He is quite protective of the people he cares for, a key example being Taylor. He is very uncomfortable with showing his soft side from a possible fear of being hurt or left behind.

Taylor Though others may consider him mean, Tyler is shown to be caring and watchful of his sister. After facing a dangerous situation, the first thing he does is check on her. He seems to value her input over most other people's. After their father's death, he promised to take care of her and their mother.

Ben Throughout everything overall, the school bus graveyard gang has been through a lot together which has definitely brought them closer, this is no exception for Ben and Tyler. Tyler taught Ben how to play "Happy Birthday" on the guitar for Ben's little sister's birthday. Tyler seemed bit tense when it was brought up, not that comfortable showing how much he cares for people including Ben.

Logan Logan and Tyler have talked just a few times throughout the book, even those tiny moments in the book have caused that ship to be not a very popular, yet not underrated ship. They have also been seen having some moments with each other. Like when Logan got scratched by the phantom (Timmy) Tyler was the first to come over and make sure that his he was ok. They are in a secret relationship with each other.

Since the death of his father, his mother went into depression, withdrawing from her two children. Tyler had to grow up at an early age, taking on the duty of protecting and caring for his mother and sister. This led to Tyler developing the personality of a tough kid, who is neither sensitive nor vulnerable. His sister, Taylor, is the only person with whom he is loving and caring, and it is arguably the same with his mother.
