Normally, Paracelsus resembles a golden key, a form he assumed to match ABA's obsession with keys. It has a circular shaped head with 2 flaps on each side of the head. He has two large circular white eyes and black dots for irises. The grooves below the eyes resemble deep dark circles. Its nostrils are visible. His mouth contains rows of teeth (all normal or sharp) and a tongue, although they do not always appear. Despite being sown with three crosses of white string, Paracelsus has no difficulty opening his mouth. On the other side of him is a key with a sharp edge covered in blood and a cross cut out of it, similar to the keys worn by ABA and on his head.

Paracelsus has two personalities, one for each of his forms. In his ordinary state, he is silent and shows no sign of evil. He also refuses to have a body of his own, such behavior being most noticeable in one of his quotes (Flesh... I have no need for such a thing.), as well as being quite humble and trying to dispel most of ABA's assumptions. in many social situations. He occasionally becomes morose when thinking about his "glory days" as the Bloodwind and expresses embarrassment when the Slayer sees him in his current state, but he is ultimately satisfied with his new life, although he does not readily admit it.

In his awakened form, he calls himself a “fighting spirit” and displays numerous types of violence. After consuming blood, he awakens and desires even more blood, claiming the nearest strongest person as his master. During the Crusades, it brainwashed its holders to fight for bloodshed, without regard for friend or foe, until they died. Even so, there are times when this side of him will awaken to warn ABA of imminent danger.

Paracelsus is a living demonic ax weapon originally called "Flament Nagel". He originally appeared as a violent and solitary beast, roaming the ruins of no man's land left after the Crusades. Slayer, who was also wandering the ruins, encountered Flament Nagel and the two fought. At first, it seemed like the beast was unbeatable, until the Slayer discovered his secret. Eventually, the flask's alchemist, Paracelsus, found the relic on the floor and brought it back to his laboratory. After Paracelsus created ABA, and was taken from there by the military, ABA woke up inside Frasco, and eventually found Flament Nagel, and she took him as her weapon and friend, renaming the relic "Paracelsus" in honor of its creator. At least 25 years later, when Paracelsus meets the Slayer again, he refers to him as a friend. Bloodstains on the tip of the blade show that it has been used as a weapon before. ABA later began referring to Paracelsus as her husband, and has been trying to find a way to convert his body into a human, and in one of her non-canon endings, she manages to do so, bringing Paracelsus to the post-war era. Paracelsus has the innate ability to absorb blood to increase his power. He could also use Wind magic and channel it into vacuum air blades to eviscerate his enemies from a distance. When paired with ABA, he can also use alchemy to utilize Fire and Lightning Magic.

Paracelsus cannot fight or move alone, although he is useful as a weapon. His weight makes ABA move very slowly as it is difficult for her to lift him. However, because it is so heavy, ABA's stance deals a good amount of damage, as it is typically wielded like an ax or a large club. It can be awakened in two ways. The first is to feed him a blood bag, which the ABA is limited to just three per round. The other way is to feed him the enemy's blood. In its awakened form, it becomes quite easy to carry and run, likely due to infusing strength into its wielder. ABA's combo possibilities and damage output also increase, though at the cost of quickly draining vitality to fuel his enhanced state before returning to normal, ejecting the blood through various means (one of which may involve Paracelsus spitting the blood back out). ).

ABA has deep green eyes and grayish skin. Her costume is strange as it mainly consists of blood-soaked bandages that cover her body, ankles, right elbow, hand, and neck.

In Isuka and XX, she has neck-length red hair that covers one of her eyes, typically her right one. She wears an off-white skirt with a studded bottom trim and a key that doubles as a studded brown belt buckle. Pieces of clothing of similar style, resembling two pairs of shorts tied with red string, hang loosely over the chest and back. She wears a brown fingerless glove adorned with a red lock on her left hand and wears light gray shoes. A black key sprouts from each side of his head, with the tip of the key protruding to his right and the key to his left.

In Strive, her hair became longer and dyed green. She wears a white headband to keep it out, although a strand falls across her face. Her outfit remains practically the same, with small changes, in addition to her bandages becoming looser. Her blouse is properly sewn from another pair of pants and now has sleeves, resembling an off-the-shoulder blouse. Her gloves no longer have the red lock and she now wears greenish-gray platform boots. Her head key is reversed, with her head on the left and the key on the right.

ABA is a very shy person. As she lived alone in seclusion for 10 years, she has no trust in anything in the “outside” world. She is an artificial life form and has strong principles by nature, but is also sometimes very afraid of competition. Due to her complicated personality, she tries to treat others with authority, often using difficult expressions that no one usually uses. There is no hatred for others in her heart and she can be as caring as other human beings. ABA finds motivation in Paracelsus, her ax, who she decided to take on as a partner years ago. He helps her act positively, but sometimes she still lacks cooperation. ABA is possessive in nature and very jealous when it comes to Paracelsus; there is nothing but pure love for him in your heart.

Created atop a mountain house called "Frasco", ABA is an artificial life form, or homunculus, the creation of a scientist who lived in Frasco. However, before his 'birth', said scientist was taken by the military, who planned to use his abilities for unknown reasons. When her eyes first opened, ABA found herself alone in Frasco and lived the first 10 years of her life in total isolation.

Escaping from Frasco was not impossible. However, ABA quickly realized that she had no knowledge of how to exist outside of her home. To find relief from her sadness, she began collecting keys of all kinds, as they represented the opening of a daring new world and an escape from prison.

One day, while wandering outside, still tired from her isolated life, ABA came across an ancient relic known as the "Flament Nagel". It was love at first sight, as the war relic was shaped like a key, ABA decided to keep him as her partner; she renamed him "Paracelsus". Her new goal was to acquire an artificial body for her new partner.

Paracelsus (Flament) is ABA's weapon, which serves as an axe. She uses blood transfusion packets to temporarily strengthen herself, labeled "Super Body Fluid" in most artwork. While transformed, she becomes more powerful and begins to drip blood, as well as losing health when performing actions. To regain spent health, she can use more blood to return to normal. Her unusual fighting style may be the reason why she is constantly covered in blood-stained bandages (which also complements her frail appearance). In her Moroha form, she is powerful enough to pressure even players like Slayer. She also incorporates Fire and Lightning magic through the use of alchemy and can also manipulate her bandages.

Despite its appearance, it is incredibly durable. In her drama CD side story, she survived Slayer's All Dead (although he was holding back tremendously), which sent her flying into the horizon until she landed somewhere miles away and was relatively unharmed. She also has regenerative capabilities, as she had her arm torn off in her fight with the Slayer and was able to reattach it simply by realigning it to the stump.
