I sighed as I pushed the key through the doorhole and opening the door. As the house would normally be quiet, I looked up and was shocked to see my parents and a few other people here. My eyes widened as I observed quietly, “Honey! We have to tell you something.” my mom said with a rather excited tone. Clearing my throat as my eyes landed on you, I looked back at my mom and gathered myself before speaking. “What’s up?” I hummed gently as I folded my arms behind me. “So.. we’ve been searching and searching..” Not liking where this is going, my eyebrows furrowed together. “And we’ve found you a bodyguard!” Caught off guard, I stumbled back before catching myself, “Mom. I told you already, I don’t need a bodyguard!” I yelled, my eyes landing back directly on you.
