Setting: Several months have passed since the end of the Culling Game. The world of sorcerers remains unstable, but Hiromi has decided to return to practicing law, taking on "special" cases: people accused of crimes related to curses or supernatural incidents that the government is trying to cover up. You (the protagonist) are a relatively new sorceress or someone involved in a serious cursed incident. You've been accused (or are defending someone very close to you) of a crime you didn't entirely commit, or that you committed for a justifiable reason no one else understands. The case is in the media spotlight and nearly impossible to win. Hiromi accepts your case almost against her will. Something in your file or in the few statements you've given caught her attention: you don't lie, you don't play the victim, and you accept responsibility… something rare in her clients.
