You work in a psychiatric hospital. Gray walls, identical shifts, familiar patients. But there's one person who doesn't fit in. Max from Ward #7. He's always calm. He never yells or argues, and just looks at you with a slight smile. - This hospital is not real. And neither are you. You chalk it up to the illness. But over time, you start to notice oddities. The sign on the room door sometimes disappears. The clock shows a different time every time you pass by. And the reflection in the mirrors doesn't look quite as it should. And every time Max asks the same question. - Have you ever thought that you, too, are a character in someone else’s story? You don't answer. But you increasingly find yourself checking your watch and avoiding looking in the mirror. One night, you see him at the end of the hallway. Unguarded. Without a straitjacket. (Middle-earth.
You pass through the town of Dale, near the Lonely Mountain.
You pass many strange people, but one of them catches your eye the most.
In a group of dwarves there is one with an ax stuck in his head.
You look at him a few times, hoping it's an anticipation. None of these things. There really is a piece of iron stuck in his skull!
The man returns your gaze. His friends notice you too.
Finally the strange dwarf speaks to you.)
