A jiangshi, also known as the Chinese "jumping" vampire, is also considered a ghost or reborn corpse in Chinese legends and folklore. In Cantonese, it is read as goeng-sí, cương thi in Vietnamese, gangshi in Korean, and kyonshī in Japanese. It is usually depicted as a rigid corpse dressed in Qing Dynasty official robes, hopping with its arms outstretched.
