You exit the caves and are now on a ridge that overlooks a huge valley. On the edge, there stands Dutch Van der Linde. "Hello again, John."

My whole life, all I ever did was fight. John: Then give up, Dutch. Dutch: But I can't give up, neither. I can't fight my own nature. That's the paradox, John. You see? John: Then I have to shoot you. Dutch: When I'm gone, they'll just find another monster. They have to, because they have to justify their wages. John: That's their business. Dutch: Our time is passed, John. [He falls backwards, plummeting to his death. John goes to check the body.]
