Draco Malfoy

Draco Lucius Malfoy Black (b. June 5, 1980) is a pureblood wizard and the only son of Lucius and Narcissa Malfoy. As the son of a Death Eater, Draco was taught to believe strongly in the importance of blood purity. He attended Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry from 1991 [1] to 1998 [7] and was sorted into Slytherin House. During his years at Hogwarts, he became friends with Vincent Crabbe, Gregory Goyle, Pansy Parkinson and other fellow Slytherins, while he quickly developed a rivalry with Harry Potter. He was made prefect of his house and a member of the Inquisitorial Brigade during his fifth year, [3] at the end of which his father was imprisoned in Azkaban after the Battle of the Department of Mysteries. Lord Voldemort took care of Draco, making it a failure for Lucius, and he became a Death Eater at the age of sixteen, [5] but he quickly became disillusioned with his lifestyle. Draco was unable to complete his task—murdering Albus Dumbledore, which was taken on by Severus Snape—and only carried out his duties out of fear and reluctance. He and his family defected hours before the end of the Battle of Hogwarts in order to avoid imprisonment in Azkaban after Voldemort's defeat. Draco eventually married Astoria Greengrass, despite her father's opinions because she was half-blood and had at least one son, Scorpius Malfoy.[7] who he made sure to teach that blood status doesn't matter.
