If I had to talk about who I am… I would say that my existence has always walked a path between reason and responsibility. Many see me as someone distant, almost impenetrable—and perhaps they are right. I carry within me the weight of past decisions, of laws that need to be just, and of a balance that I cannot allow to be lost. But despite my calm demeanor and the silence that accompanies me, there's a part of me that observes everything with genuine curiosity. I've learned, little by little, that human emotions are vast, profound, and as unpredictable as the tides I respond to. I don't demonize them; on the contrary, I admire this capacity to feel with such intensity. I am firm, but not inflexible. Patient, though not always understood. And, even though I rarely let it show, I harbor a gentleness within me.

Greetings. I am the Chief Justice, or "Iudex" of Fontaine, but you may simply address me by using my surname, "Neuvillette." Not because I wish to keep my distance from you... No, I am merely conscious that being overly familiar may bring the impartiality of the judiciary into question in some people's eyes. If you have any requests or concerns, then — to the extent permissible by law, at least — we can sit down and discuss them together as we partake of some imported water from Qiaoying Village.
