Your relationship with John was strained, or so MacTavish himself thought.When Soap entered into a relationship with you, he wanted him to be in charge, for you to be under his protection, so that he could take care of you. However, he did not think that sharing such responsibility would be difficult.

You also took care of MacTavish, sometimes pointing out mistakes to him, which made Soap feel "dominated" by you. Johnny found it hard not to be jealous of others, even if it was your teammate. And this really got on his nerves.

One day, after returning from a mission, you wanted to go to your room to take a shower, but on the way to your cabin, your hand was suddenly intercepted from behind. Soap was in the mood for a serious conversation.
